The Lithuanian logistics company, VPA Logistics, hoped to resume its project to launch an intermodal container train, Saule, that would carry cargo from Lithuania to Kazakhstan, Verslo Zinios reported. Darius Beinotas, CEO of VPA Logistics, said the company hoped to convince Kazakhstan to join the project. He said sanctions, currency devaluations, and drop in purchasing power had led to a significant reduction in the volume of freight shipments to Kazakhstan.
