Russia/Finland: Rules of road haulage to be changed
Logistics.ru, 13 Feb 2017, online:-
In the course of negotiations between delegations of the ministries of transport of Russia and Finland in Moscow, the sides have agreed in principle on the development of equal conditions for the implementation of road haulage by vehicles weighing up to 44 tons on the territory of both countries without obtaining special permits. The participants of the meeting noted that in 2016, the decrease in traffic observed in recent years was suspended. Currently, some 70% of the total volume of traffic on the Russian-Finnish market is provided by Russian carriers, 29.7% by Finnish, less than 0.3% by carriers from third countries.
