Sweden: 24% of grocery stores consider termination of postal services

In Sweden, a survey conducted by newspaper ICA-nyheter shows that 24% of grocery stores conducting postal services on behalf of logistics companies DHL, Schenker and Postnord would consider terminating their existing agreements. The survey was conducted among 1,093 grocery stores with an 11% response frequency, and included multiple-choice options for why the stores would choose to terminate their agreements. The figures show that 91% respond that the decision stems from low profitability, while 30% respond that the service increases the crime risk. Moreover, 57% respond that it takes up too much in-store space, while 65% respond that it takes up too much staffing. 9% also responded that they have other reasons.
