In Sweden, several analysts state that 2017 will be a record year for logistics centres construction. Figures from real estate services company Colliers show that an estimated 500,000 square metres of logistics space will be constructed in 2017, while estimates from logistics magazine Intelligent Logistik show that the 20 largest logistics projects in Sweden for 2017 will cover 52 hectares in property area alone. Five of the 20 centres will be located in the Gothenburg region, while Ängelholm and Malmö will receive two and one, respectively. In the future, Intelligent Logistik projects that regions Gothenburg, Örebro, Östergötland, northern Stockholm and Helsingborg will become locations for additional projects.
