Swedish bearing and seal manufacturer SKF has launched a new fully automatised and digital production process in Gothenburg. The process has been adjusted for manufacture of spherical roller bearings and is the first of its type to be used by SKF. Head of manufacturing Luc Graux noted that the goal is to use manufacturing capacity more efficiently, increase flexibility and thus increase global competitiveness. The production process is unique in the warehousing sector, added Graux.
